Instructions
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower. Rinse the cauliflower under cold running water.
Cut the core off the bottom and discard it, then cut the head of the cauliflower in half.
With a sharp knife, cut the cauliflower into florets.
Fill a pot with water about one inch above the cauliflower florets.
Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-high. Cook for 15 minutes until florets are tender.
In a colander, drain all the water out of the cauliflower.
Put the cauliflower back into the pot and add the butter and black pepper.
Stir carefully and cook on medium heat while the butter melts and until all the ingredients are heated through.
Notes
Buttered cauliflower is a quick, simple, and delicious side dish to add to your dinner menu.
You can add any of your favorite seasonings to the buttered cauliflower.
